Store Policies

All PetriCoffin products are potentially made or stored in a pet-friendly, smoke-free studio space and home. Please take this into account when ordering anything from this store.

ALL Bag Orders & Pre-Orders – Read before purchasing!

  • There is a 7-day cancellation period after you place your order unless otherwise stated in the item description or on the collection page. Please note that ready-to-ship handmade items are exempt from the 7-day cancellation period, as they often ship within 24 hours of purchasing. IF YOU CANCEL, you will be charged a 25% cancellation fee, no exceptions. Once the 7-day cancellation period on eligible items has passed, your purchase is no longer refundable. You can read more by visiting our FAQ page.
  • All pre-orders and made-to-order items have an estimated deadline (date when all items are estimated to begin shipping), but we do not guarantee that every order will ship by this deadline. While we do our best to meet this deadline, each item is hand-made to order and unforeseen circumstances can delay production. I will post an update on instagram (check first, @petricoffin) or send you a direct email if I anticipate that this date may change or if shipping will take longer than expected. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to message me, but please refrain from "check-ins" before the deadline.
  • No rush orders. Unfortunately I cannot and will not guarantee your item(s) will arrive before your event or vacation. Your order is not eligible for a refund if it does not arrive in time for your event, celebration, or vacation. Express shipping is not available on pre-orders and made-to-order items. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
  • If you have an Address Change before your item is shipped, please notify me asap so I can amend your order. This may incur additional shipping charges that must be paid in full before your order can be sent.
  • Pre-Order items often contain "preview" (mock-up) images to represent the products. All preview images have text at the bottom of the image indicating that they are preview images. These images represent the item as close as possible to the planned finished product and are made to the best of my ability, but they are not exact, and there may be slight variances when compared to the final item (slight variations in color, texture, hardware, etc.). I can provide images of the raw materials used to create the exterior and interior of the item upon request (images from the fabric manufacturer or retailer's website, or photos I have taken of the materials myself). If you have any questions about the materials, please message me. If your order does not perfectly match the preview image, you are not eligible to a refund as this is the inherent risk associated with purchasing an item with preview images.
  • Because screens and perception of color can vary from device to device, and from person to person, all colors are approximate. We cannot guarantee that any colors will look exactly as they do in person as they look on your screen. Thank you for your understanding.
    • We do not accept returns on hand-made items. However, if there is an issue with your purchase, please contact me and I'll do my best to make it right! 🎃
    • If you are found to be a habitual re-seller of our handmade items, you risk being permanently banned from purchasing from PetriCoffin. If you are interested in stocking our items or becoming a wholesale account, please email us at petricoffin@gmail.com.
    • We do not repair bags. Please remember that all handmade bags are sold as-is. We test, photograph, and inspect each order before shipping. If your bag breaks shortly after receiving it due to a manufacturer error, we may consider fixing or replacing it at our sole discretion once we receive evidence of the damage and cross reference it with your order. If we determine that we will replace your bag, we will do so after receiving the original damaged bag back. If your bag has become damaged and you would like advice on best steps to repair it, feel free to send us an email at petricoffin@gmail.com with any questions you may have.

       

      All other items (clothing, home decor, etc)

      • There is a 7-day return/ exchange period after your item is deliveredunless otherwise stated in the item description or on the collection page. Items can be returned or exchanged on a case-by-case basis. If your item does not fit upon the first wear, and is not damaged, stained, or odorous, you may contact us to coordinate a return or exchange. Once the 7-day cancellation period on eligible items has passed, your purchase is no longer refundable, exchangeable, or returnable. 

       

      Shipping & Returns

      • All shipping dates are approximate and are not guaranteed. Delays in production can occur, and delays are not grounds for cancellation or refund on hand-made items.
      • If you have an Address Change before your item has shipped, please notify us ASAP so your order can be amended. This may incur additional shipping charges that must be paid in full before your order can be sent.
      • Please DOUBLE CHECK your shipping address to ensure it is correct, as we do not replace items shipped to the wrong address due to customer error. If you provide us with the wrong address and your item has already shipped, it is your responsibility to re-route the package. Contact the shipping carrier ASAP to re-route your package. You are solely responsible for paying any and all additional fees incurred from re-routing a package.
      • Once your item(s) are dropped off to the shipping company (USPS, UPS, FedEx, etc) we are no longer responsible for your package. If your package becomes lost, arrives damaged, or is stolen, contact the shipping company right away to file a claim. We will not replace damaged, lost, or stolen goods. If you would like your package to have signed delivery and/or be fully insured, contact us ASAP and we can amend your shipping charge to include this service. If your item has already shipped, we cannot add signed delivery or insurance.
      • PetriCoffin ships internationally! However, I cannot guarantee that I will be able to ship to your country. If there is an issue with shipping to your country (i.e. USPS cannot complete the delivery) your order will be cancelled and fully refunded, and is exempt from the 25% cancellation fee.
      • International buyers: You are solely responsible for paying any Customs fees, duty, taxes, etc. that may be charged by your government to receive your item. PetriCoffin does not have any control over this. PetriCoffin also has no control over how long your item(s) may take to arrive to you. Packages can become delayed at customs for a number of reasons—If your item doesn't appear to be moving when you look at the tracking, it is likely waiting to be processed at the customs export facility. Please be patient. There is nothing I can do to make your item process or travel faster, and a refund will not be given due to any shipping delays.
      • International buyers: If you would rather ship with a specific carrier, please send me a message after purchase and we can update your shipping method. You will be responsible for paying any overages for the change in shipping method, and will receive a refund of the difference if it winds up being cheaper.
      • We do not accept returns on hand-made items. However, if there is an issue with your purchase, please contact me and I'll do my best to make it right! 🎃
